Forte Productions is a video production company that offers a 10-part piano lesson video series, "Learn the Essentials of Piano with Talc Tolchin." Tolchin has been a piano teacher for over 30 years. Series 1 (Volumes 1-6) addresses beginners and intermediate level students. Series 2 (Volumes 7-10) focusses on intermediate and advanced students. Both series emphasize ear training and theory over note reading.

The first series has sold in over twenty countries worldwide (including Pakistan and Borneo!) and is available in hundreds of libraries throughout the U.S. It has been favorably reviewed by many publications, including Billboard and Keyboard Magazines, and has been a finalist in both the Video Review Awards and the American Video Conference. The second series was released in September 2002, and is an in-depth extension of the first piano instruction VHS/DVD series.
